2. Precis Relay Challenge (Precis Writing)
In teams, students write a 60-word precis of a 250-word passage within 15 minutes, exchange for peer review, and compare with a model version for guided improvement.
3. Paragraph Reconstruction Lab (Composition Writing)
Students correct and reorder a flawed paragraph to improve grammar, coherence, and sentence variety. The activity sharpens editing and rewriting skills essential for CSS.
Shahzad Nabi is an English Language Lecturer with over six years of experience in higher and secondary education. He holds an MPhil in Applied Linguistics from UMT and has published research in HEC-recognized journals on media discourse and semiotics. Currently teaching at UMT, he specializes in academic writing, communication, and grammar. Shahzad has presented at national conferences, written op-eds, and completed certified training in digital pedagogy and structured lesson planning.
