Introduction

Khawaja Ubaid ur Rehman is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, School of Systems and Technology (SST), at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and has extensive academic and practical experience in Game Development, Unity 3D, Mobile Game Development, Interactive Media, and Software Engineering.
With over 9 years of teaching experience, including 6 years of specialized experience in Game Development, he has taught a wide range of courses related to game design, game programming, software development, and interactive technologies. His teaching approach focuses on hands-on learning, creativity, project-based development, and industry-relevant practices that prepare students for professional careers in the gaming and software industries.
Khawaja has successfully completed several professional development and certification programs, including the Android Unity Game Development Certification from Coursera, Game Development Teacher's Training Program conducted by Mindstorm Studios and Connexus Technologies, Faculty Development Training Program, Art and Science of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, and Outcome-Based Education from a Quality Assurance Perspective. These trainings have strengthened his expertise in both technical and pedagogical domains.
In addition to his academic experience, he has gained valuable industry exposure through internships at Intellicode Software House and CodeAlpha Software House, where he worked on software development projects and enhanced his practical understanding of modern development methodologies and technologies.
Throughout his academic career, Khawaja has demonstrated exceptional academic excellence and leadership. He was awarded the prestigious Dean's Merit Award and Rector's Medal Award in six consecutive semesters during his Bachelor's degree. He also received the Silver Medal Award in Bachelor of Computer Science in 2015 and was honored with the Rector's Award for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in 2016 in recognition of his innovative contributions and outstanding performance.
Over the years, he has mentored numerous student projects and guided students in developing innovative games and software solutions. His students have actively participated in various academic competitions, development projects, and entrepreneurial activities, demonstrating the practical skills and creativity developed under his supervision.
His teaching philosophy emphasizes experiential learning, problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation. Through a combination of interactive lectures, practical labs, industry-oriented projects, and collaborative learning activities, he enables participants to develop strong technical competencies in Unity game development, C# programming, game design principles, and interactive application development.
