Introduction
Sign language can typically be described as a first language for the child, as his/her first mode of communication is nonverbal (facial expressions, body gestures, and Sign language), and it is acquired naturally. For persons with hearing impairment, sign language is considered their first language. Nonverbal communication is not only a means of communication for people with hearing impairments. It is also an effective learning tool that has a powerful impact on literacy. To make society inclusive and interactive for persons with hearing impairment, sign language is very important to eliminate the communication barriers.
