Dr. Hamid Raza is a passionate educationist and dynamic corporate trainer currently serving as Dean of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Associate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore. With over 27 years of teaching and training experience, he has earned a strong reputation for his engaging style and commitment to empowering educators.
His training sessions are known for being lively, relevant, and inspiring. Dr. Raza brings a contagious energy and a practical approach. He has conducted workshops across Pakistan in universities, colleges, industries, and training institutions, strategies on innovative teaching, growth mindset and personal development. Dr. Raza has completed over 50 Coursera certificate courses from top international universities including those in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong. His learning covers areas such as instructional design, digital education, creativity, leadership, and communication.
As Dean of CTL at UMT, he has led major initiatives in faculty development, trained hundreds of educators, organized conferences, designed interdisciplinary courses, and promoted academic industry collaborations through industrial visits and seminars. His leadership is focused on fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in teaching.
