He is an HEC Approved PhD Supervisor in the field of Agriculture and Food Technology and holds the prestigious distinctions of Fellow of the Institute of Food Science and Technology (FIFST) and Fellow of Advance HE (FHEA), UK. His research focuses on food science and nutrition, with expertise in emulsions and encapsulation, nutritional interventions, public health, food safety, and functional food development. Dr. Khalid has published over 260 peer-reviewed research articles and is consistently recognized among Stanford University's World's Top 2% Scientists (2021–2024) for his outstanding research contributions.
